About
Eppalock Primary is set in attractive, well-maintained, spacious grounds in the rural community of Axe Creek, 17 kilometres east of Bendigo. The area caters to families who look upon the unique features of a rural school as part of their life style choice.
Eppalock Primary School is very fortunate in that we have very strong community support. The community joins together on many occasions both within and outside the school. You will enjoy social gatherings and opportunities to discuss issues in a very supportive environment. This indeed would be one of the strengths of the school.
The school has a strong environmental focus through our involvement in water saving initiatives, national tree planting day and sustainable energy projects. The school also offers the Living Green Environmental and Sustainability program.
The school is highly regarded because of its child-centred approach to learning, its focus on students accepting responsibility for their progress, the development of self-discipline and the pursuit of excellence. Students are in three multi-age groups supported by dedicated teachers and a strong family involvement. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum with Literacy and Numeracy being priority areas.
The school offers a new school building as well as a newly developed Sensory Garden. Each classroom contains interactive white boards, computers including Netbooks for Grade 5 & 6 students and digital cameras which children use as part of their learning.
Eppalock Primary School also offers Drama, Music, LOTE as well as MARC Library Van which are enjoyed by all students.
