The inaugural Almost Summer Music Festival will bring a cornucopia of hot talent including Black Cab, Bananagun, Gabriella Cohen, Geoffrey O’Connor, Pookie, Thibault, Phoebe Go, Cool Sounds, Greatest Hits, Sunfruits, Freeds, Suzi, Dja Dja Wurrung singer songwriter Carissa Nyalu and locals Nadia Phillips, Aplegate and Flora, plus DJs Joey Lightbulb, DJ Friday & Triple J’s MC Pip Rasmussen. Think squelchy pop-disco, exotic bangers, flirty folk, edgy hip hop, new school R&B, motivated slackers, alt-country & an unmissable all-female First Nations act from the Red Centre, Kardajala Kirridarra, bringing their unique blend of Mudbarra and English language song to Bendigo for the first time. Sixteen bands, three DJs, two MC’s, three days. It’s gonna be one big vibe. Bendigo’s local talent will combine with burgeoning and established Australian acts ready to throw off their cumbersome North Face jackets and show off their bright new band t-shirts.
