About
The gentle rolling hills that fold away from Central Victoria’s granite outcrops to Bendigo hold a revelation - stunning wines with a rich heritage.
The tradition of wine grape-growing in the Bendigo region is nearly as old as Bendigo itself. Only 90 minutes from Melbourne and Bendigo unveils country roads where you’re greeted at cellar door by the winemakers themselves. Or sit yourself at one of the local restaurants, including a One ‘Chef’s Hat’ restaurant, to enjoy a local wine with your plate.
The diversity of climate in the Bendigo wine region plays host to a range of grape varieties. You’ll find traditional wine styles like Shiraz and Cabernet. With Chardonnay, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc as well. As well as exciting and emerging sparklings, Rose, and Mediterranean-styles like Sangiovese and Nebbiolo.
We’ve got Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring covered with wine and food events including the Strategem Bendigo Winemakers Festival every April, Barrel Tasting Weekend every July, and Bendigo Uncorked Week each October.
