About
Welcome to the Swan Hill region, a bustling agricultural hub, with Swan Hill city at its centre.
Just three and a half hours north-west from Melbourne and five and a half hours from Adelaide, our region is renowned for its Murray River location, its fresh local produce, sprawling landscapes, Australian native wildlife and Aboriginal heritage.
The region runs alongside the majestic Murray River for nearly 200 kilometres, with our 6,100 square kilometres featuring changing landscapes, bends of the River, and enchanting townships like Lake Boga, Nyah/Nyah West, Woorinen, and the regional centre of Robinvale.
The original custodians of the lands are the Latji Latji, Tati Tati, Wamba Wamba, Barapa Barapa and the Wadi Wadi Nations. The strong cultural connection to the land for Aboriginal people continue to this day.
