Lend a hand this CLEAN UP AUSTRALIA DAY WEEKEND March I and 2 Residents can lend a helping hand at five local sites on the Clean Up Australia Day weekend, Saturday March 1 and Sunday March 2, 2025. It's a simple and powerful way to contribute to our local community and environment, so why not roll up your sleeves and get involved at a local site on the day. Please register upon arrival. Remember to bring gloves, hat and a drink bottle, and wear suitable clothing and enclosed footwear. Some bags and gloves will be provided - please bring own if possible. SATURDAY MARCH 1 White Hills Bendigo Creek Cleanup 9.30am to 11.30am Register at the corner of Hamelin Street and the Bendigo Creek Trail, next to the pedestrian bridge entry to Larni Garingilang. Huntly Public Gardens Cleanup 9am to 11am Presented by Northern Bendigo Landcare Group. Park and register at the Huntly Lions Park Rest Area. Public toilets available. Ascot Ironstone Road Bushland Cleanup 10.30am to 12.30pm Presented by Rotary Club of Bendigo Sandhurst. Meet and register at the corner of Ironstone Road and Trantor Track (off Ironstone Road just after the bitumen becomes dirt). Long Gully Trail Cleanup 10am - 12pm Presented by Ironbark Gully friends and Long Gully Community Centre. Park, meet and register end of Dillon Street Long Gully. Children 15 years of age and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
